Ingredients

can black or pinto beans
drained

onion
diced

bell pepper
diced

cloves
garlic
minced

chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin, salt to taste

oil

water or broth
Instructions
Heat oil in a large pan. Add onion and bell pepper, sauté until soft.
Add garlic and spices, stir for 30 seconds.
Stir in rice to coat with the spices.
Add water or broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in beans and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serving Ideas:
Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, or use it as a burrito filling!
