1 quartcanned crushed tomatoessometimes we add it, sometimes not
2quartscanned chicken
1quartcanned potatoes
1 tspsalt
1/2 tsppepper
1 onionchopped
2 clovesgarlic
a pinch of basil and tarragon or herbs of your choice.

Instructions
In a large soup pot put some butter or olive oil in the bottom and add the onions and garlic.
Cook until tender or caramelized if you like. I cook my onions first and then add the garlic since garlic tends to cook faster and can burn before the onions are cooked.
Add the remaining ingredients and heat through.
So easy, so simple and so good!
